Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler is a past President (2018-2020) and Honorary President of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA). She is a Founding Partner of LKK Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler, where she practices international commercial, investment and sports arbitration. She has acted in over 250 international arbitrations, mainly as arbitrator. She is regularly ranked among the top ten arbitrators worldwide. She is Professor Emerita at Geneva University Law School and founder, former director, and a current faculty member of the Geneva LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS). She is also a Visiting Professor at different foreign universities and a frequent lecturer in all regions of the world. She has authored numerous publications in her areas of specialisation. She is Honorary President of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), of which she was President from 2001 to 2005, a former member of the American Arbitration Association Board, ICC and LCIA Courts; she is also on the arbitrator list of all major arbitral institutions and member of the Swiss delegation to UNCITRAL.
